The list of protected Territorial sport on tv

Olympic Games
Fifa World Cup Finals
European Football Championships
FA Cup Final
Scottish Cup Final
Wimbledon (finals weekend)
The Grand National
The Derby
Rugby League Challenge Cup Final
Rugby World Cup Final

F1 wasnt even in the B list..Funny thing is Eamonn Holmes was on the panel deciding which sport should be protected..

Really bad news. The BBC's coverage has been excellent as well over the last couple of years and I they have a great mix of pundits. I've been watching F1 for years now and I can honestly say the BBC has revived my interest in the sport. For this reason I think its going to be a real nail in the confin for the sport in this country just as viewing figures have been on the up!

I'm lucky enough that I will be able to see the full races as I have the full sky package but for me it just won't be the same. Gutted really.

A shame really as I have never bothered with sky especially with what freeview and freesat offer already for the cost.

No, they suck big fat balls and ITV4 involves Steve (wobbly mic) Rider (damn that guy annoys me, even more than Rosental did).

You have to wonder which genius thought this up as this is going to have a large effect on the sponsorship revenues the teams receive which I cant see being replaced in the long term via Sky's bank account. This isnt football and noone in their right mind will pay for Sky sports just to watch F1 and the pubs certainly wont like they do with football. I hope the F1 teams do kick up a fuss and stop this as it could be the death of F1 in my eyes but I suspect they will only see the short term gains.

Horney,DH et al should start a Youtube channel so we can watch them racing instead. Doesn't have the glamour of F1 obviously, but they're cheap.

I think you will find it's because the BBC doesn't want to get ripped off.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.
