Remapping
« on: 18 November 2011, 22:08 »
Hi all,

I have had vag com for some time and recently wondered about remapping.

Now, im certainly not naive but I have to ask, how easy is it to remap. I know I would have to research it thoroughly and attempt it with real caution. Question is, is it worth the hassle??
Ive not read of any one else trying it so I assume I have answer my own question!! Still, opinions are much appreciated!!

1. you cant do it with vag com..
2. if you need to ask that question, dont even attempt it..
don`t mean to sound like a thingy but dont want you screwing your car up..
generic maps are generally easy to do if it goes right. if you want to do some custom work i suggest you buy a book like i did. there is loads of information on google...
to do it properly you need a dyno load cell, you can do it seat of pants on the road but its not easy and you wont see as good results!
