We can offer the DPF mapping, which means the ecu comes out to read the full code areas, the map will go back on the the ecu with a patch which changes the DPF regen settings and a higher dct offset for the front and back pressues sensor thresholds. Once the ecu have been mapped and patched you can then run the car with out the DPF filter, with 2 options 1) use the oem dpf pipes and remove the filter core, or 2) get a bespoke DPF delete system and sell your house.
Even on the stock mapping there are many cases of DPF issues, VW even detuned some of the early 170TDi to arounf 150bhp via a software update to stop all the warranty claims realted to DPF.
I just been on the MoT tester PC:
The only way a car will fail is (TDI) that the smoke test reading is over 3.00m2, or there is visual dense blue or black smoke for all car 1979 onwards. Nothing in the current MOT guide lines about cars with DPF or CATs, but there is talk of new MOT emission regs next year, maybe a lower threshold of 2.00m2 or 2.5m2 or/ and viusal inspection of oem cat or DPF. Which means if your mot tester aint a c@ck your car will pass every MOT.
