A mk5 Edition 30 because 2 Golfs is better than one, right? If I had more space I'd have a mk2 GTI but they're at the stage where they're more of a project than I'm after.

I've had some interesting cars but the only other car currently in the household is my OH's Lupo. Even I have to admit, it's not particularly interesting. About the best I can say about it is that it has been incredibly cheap to own and even after 19 years, the depreciation hasn't been that bad!

VAG all the way in our family.

Although i dont actually own any other interesting cars the Mrs has a lovely A1 S-line black edition in Arrow grey - fully loaded with flappy paddles which is like a little go kart, my daughter has a Polo Blue GT the same as Sootchuckers wife's, but nowhere near as clean

Nice looking 205, Dazie. Seems to have had a wheel change?

It came with the pepperpots, always loved the 1.9 wheels more so picked up a 2nd hand set, got the peppers. refurbed recently so banged them back on, looks better with 1.9 but original with 1.6 wheels, love your toys , had a couple of 1.9s bak in the day and they are crazy money now, thought the CTI was good value and something a bit different but those 1.9s hold a some very fond memories for me

Even tho' I no longer have a modern GTI, I still have my 1990 Oak Green 16V. The other cars we have are,

Transporter T6 Caravelle
Tiguan Elegance 200 TDI
Polo 6R Rline
Fabia VRS SE
Fabia VRS (Darkside 260bhp)
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Yes, the CTIs can be picked up relatively cheap. More importantly, much easier to find a good one as many have had an easy life.

The cost of purchase didn’t bother me. What seemed expensive 3 years ago seems cheap today.

Better than money in the bank!

And as enjoyable, usable everyday transport, there’s nothing to beat it.

In that sense, I’d call them a bargain!
