Replacement dash in.  Speedo works now. 

Rev-counter works.

Spoiler works (some things are important).

ABS powers up and errors - no pipes connected up at the moment, but as the ABS light didn't actually come on before this is a feature.

Tomorrow - heater box back in, bit of tidying up of the loom, then engine and box out, engine loom out and ready for wrapping.

Had this going on on Saturday:



To remedy a couple of snapped studs which resisted the old trick of welding on nuts to the sheared studs.

New studs and nuts ordered from VW at a cost of about £20.

New gaskets NOT ordered from VW because they wanted a HUNDRED QUID for five gaskets!

Ordered the gaskets from Vee W Services for £22 delivered before the weekend.

yeah right, I have only seen him clean one of his Dubs in 3 years.  :lipsrsealed:

strangely though I have seen 2 other people cleaning other cars in his fleet  :laugh:
