Wee update got the Golf turned it around and begun stipping the rear. Not too bad under there just the odd bit of surface rust and luckily no holes. Right horrible messy job this!!

How she's looking just now....

Tank out....tank straps are in good condition and will clean up ok.

Rear beam off.....Got some polybushes on their way....

Underneath....

Thats where i'm at just now. Basically more cleaning up and rubbing down, rust killer, sealer, stonechip, primer then some paint. Also get that rear axle cleaned up and painted too.

Fantastic, not too shabby at all under there. Whats the bracket like that the fuel filler neck bolts into? Usually get aload of cack sat on them and rust out?

Nice to see it ain't to bad under there :) are you gonna get the rear beam sand blasted and powder coated or just clean it up and paint it your self?

Yeah was a bit rusty up there but luckily no holes to worry about.

Will clean it up and paint it myself. Not wanting to spend too much it now as i'm at about £2k on this build so far. Think thats enough lol. Will be done right, strip it right down and remove the torsion bar. If they come out that is but I assume they do.
