What could you replace the TCR with Watts?
I am in a similar position and keep the CS as the sensible car. It's a good excuse to buy that historic classic (no tax, mot or ulez) to run alongside your reliable Golf.
When your London travel pass arrives, that should cut down on local miles put on the Golf too.

Ideally I'd keep the TCR and get a toy too but circumstances don't currently support that. No millions here though, only a low grade (un)civil servant...

I'd like a small cheeky convertible but as above, I can't keep both and a small cheeky convertible won't fit a lot of my driving needs. It will be a fair few years before I qualify for free travel but I hate going on buses, you have to sit next to people like me
