Looks the business in grey
Goodyear tyres too(?) rather than the more common OEM fit Bridgestones.

Well spotted. Difficult to tell from the small screen size on my phone but the OP’s alloys also look to have a satin finish - unless it’s brake dust making them look that way (one of the downsides of gloss black alloys IMHO). OEM Scottesdale alloys on the ED45 GTI have a high gloss finish.

Car and wheels are dirty due to the weather so poor here in Wales so look dull, Alloy had curb rash before I bought it so garage decided to not try and correct the red stripe as and deleted them ( I wasn't fussed)
And yes Goodyear tyres 👍

shame they couldn't be bothered doing the correct wheel refurb as the red stripe is part of the Edition45

the very reason i removed mine on day of collection and put them in storage (less than 80 miles on them)

With the mk7.5 GTI there was an option of anthracite coloured 18” Seville alloys which also had a red pinstripe around the edge. I remember those wheels created a bit of a ‘Marmite’ reaction from forum members at the time. I liked them, complete with the red pinstripe.

If I owned a mk8 ED45 and needed the alloys refurbished, I’d want to have the red pinstripe put back on.
