My plan is to change my car at the end of this year, at which point my GTi will have 6 months warranty left.

However, I was really tempted this week to order an M135i on a 2 yr personal lease, but the deal has now finished. It's fate I guess, and in some ways a good thing cos I'm still really enjoying the Golf.

Had a look at a MK7 GTi last weekend, and it didn't really get the juices flowing to be honest. The spec was a bit basic, so maybe that's why (mine has DSG, leather, RNS510, sunroof, heated seats etc).

Golf R is tempting but my spec is coming out at £32k on drivethedeal. The search continues....!

Possible Golf GTI killer?

That Cupra looks amazing value!!

Certainly pretty and has the power but that interior won't win any GTi owners over
Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :

Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6  - Now sold and replaced with :

Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long

Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement
