Jeebus no, I am not at that point in life where I have given up.

Changed the drain pipe on the tailgate.

Noticed a lot of damp where the spare fits. Googled it and come up with boot badge drain pipe damaged. Went to look at mine and there is an empty hole. No grommit, nothing.

So I need to do this. Is there a part number you can give me and maybe any tips on doing the job right.

Yeah the OEM one is kinda plasticy, with a rubber grommet on the end. The new one I got was all silicone/rubber.

Thought I'd have a look at mine, seemed to be OK so I thought I'd make sure it was clear by shoving some speaker wire up it..................then the grommet on the end crumbled and fell off!!

New one ordered.

After 3 weeks and 1,000+ miles, I finally caved and washed the car as I've been too busy ceramic coating other cars to see to my own. The interior can wait for another while...

Replaced my perished tailgate badge drain tube, the tailgate trims are a bit of a bugger to get off as you think your gonna break something.

Anyway, all done, straightforward enough.

After reading this I cleaned the drain out and squirted a bit of Liquid Moly Gummi Pfledge up the pipe, tested and water runs freely out, thanks for the post - love this site👍

Fixed the rear seal on my sunroof, the weather stripping came off in the middle so pushed it back in. May need to revisit it with a bit of glue but will see how it holds up.
