235 section a much better choice for 8J wheels than 225’s and pretty essential if they’re 8.5J.
Good choice with the PS5’s, I did wonder if you’d plump for those. I’ll be interested to see what you make of them.
The wheels (and tyres) sound like a nice little project, they’ll look minty fresh when you’ve got them done with all those new accessories. Your car is definitely one of my very favourite mk7(.5)’s I’ve seen so that’ll continue with the new wheels. It’s the sort of thing I’d have tried to achieve myself once upon a time but I’ve gotten so old and boring!

That's a good job I usually forget and then think I'm either too early or running very late for work!

Today I fitted the BBS to try and decide on the colour I want to go with them, ended up thinking these tyres are awful are kill it all. But I think I'll go Satin Black again without the stainless steel protector, still tempted to go a shade of grey though.

Also washed my Belvedere's and put them up for sale.

I saw the S5 was released there the other week but so far in 20s no 19s so will be a while. But I’m also going to use the alloys in winter so PS5’s make more sense than the PSS5’ due to tyre composition in cold weather.

Back to the dealer today with the GTi, after spending some time on it on last two Sunday’s, wasn’t happy with the standard for the paint done by them on the bonnet and wings, which they had supposedly painted. But without flatting out the chips. More a touch up and buff job. Donnie it’s going into the Bodyshop for whole bonnet and wing to be finished properly. At their cost. Result.

I saw the S5 was released there the other week but so far in 20s no 19s so will be a while. But I’m also going to use the alloys in winter so PS5’s make more sense than the PSS5’ due to tyre composition in cold weather.

Ordering some tomorrow to replace the noisy Bridgestone Potenza / Turanza I currently have. Beginning to get cracking on the sidewalls🙄

PS5 or the PSS5's? You'll notice a good difference, I put the 19 Brescias with PS4S' back on at the weekend and there's less road noise than my 18in goodyears, just have to get used to the 19in ride again.

PSS5’s in 18”.
Road noise from the current Bridgestones isn’t great and they are beginning to castellate which makes the noise worse. That with the beginning of sidewall cracks means time to change👍

OE equipment only at the minute and by the sounds of it maybe not even be on general sale. Michelin appear to be replacing the PS4S with something new.
