I hate shiny steering wheels - use Glyptone Leather cleaner on mine to keep it matt, works a treat.

With a little bit of advise, thanks Willni, i decided to give my CS Alcantara steering wheel a bit of a clean over the weekend, it wasn't really dirty but i thought it needed a freshen up.
Been putting it off as i didnt want to make a mess of the Alcantara in case things went wrong, but i grabbed some Autobrite Alcantara cleaner and various brushes and set to work, brushed up the nap this morning and it feels all lovely and soft again. 

Looks great, just need a set of driving gloves to keep it perfect

Used a soft babys toothbrush and a soft longer bristled brush to agitate the cleaner, then a Swissvax brush once dry to bring up the nap.

I barely drive these days with working from home permanently and we use my partners car for the weekends.

GTI would be 3 years old next month, out of warranty, big service and mot due which is roughly £420. Used car values have ticked up again following the peak September last year and I sold it for 2k less than what I paid 3 years ago.

Sad to see it go, but 8k positive equity in the car and at £390 a month in payments its an expensive thing to stare at out of the window.   

Will definitely be back in a GTI at some point in the future though

Well not exactly today but earlier this week ………..got it out of the garage and took it up the road for the first time since ceramic coating it last October 👍. Safely tucked away again now
