This involves my old car. I was run into by an artic in January 2017 but because it was foreign registered my insurer was having difficulty sorting it out. But today I received a cheque in the post refunding my excess!! Amazing! But how about the £100+ per year my premiums went up by as it was down as a 50/50 fault when it should've been down as the other party?

Think any accident has some impact on premiums regardless of fault?

Just spoke to my insurer regarding my two years premiums that were inflated due to my accident being down as partial blame. Even I was surprised by the outcome. Since it's now a no fault claim, £125 refund for the first year and nearly £100 for the second!

Spent a steady 12 hours polishing and waxing  - followed by another 4 hours tomorrow

Not sure Dr Hilary Jones would approve

Where's the car?

Fitted a Skoda funnel cap to the washer fluid reservoir...

Thanks for the idea Sootchucker.

Wow, those Clubsports have small washer reservoirs don't they ?

On my GTI it's huge and fills up most of the forward wheel arch area - seems to take about the same amount of liquid as the fuel tank to fill up (OK exaggeration - but still)  ;D

Same as an R i'd imagine, I think there is more of it lower down that you can't see in these shots. It seems to hold quite a bit actually. I'm sure someone else will know more about it than me.

No downsides - it’s a very clever little device.

With regards to the Skoda funnel cap, is the cheapest place eBay to get one? Sorry if this has already been asked.
