For the first time in about 9 months I did two brim to brims to see what the actual mpg was. I put in 40 litres of Shell V power and I had covered 438 miles so that means I got just under 50mpg which is great considering that around 200 miles of it was with the cruise set at 90mph on near empty motorway.

Another odd thing was that the DIS was stating that the mpg since last fill was 47mpg, I thought that a tuning box made the car over read the mpg.

Oh and I washed it after it got filthy driving around the Cotswolds yesterday.

Cleaned and sealed my wheels today.
What annoyed me was that they put silver balance weights on!! Why couldn't they use black???

Looking well.
As for the weights I agree silver as standard but when I got a puncture and had the tyre replaced my man put black weights on so when I swapped for my winter set I sprayed the others black  :whistle: :whistle: and put the Vw centre cap at 12 and 6 to the valve hahahaha

You used to get black wheel weights from the factory on previous mk7 gti's and gtd's but then they stopped. I was thinking of buying my own come tyre change time.

Got one word for you all - touch up pen (alright, 3 words)

Closest I've come to doing something to the car is Mrs Gnasher telling me the car was fine and still in the garage.

4 weeks down, 12(ish) to go. Need to book an MOT for when I get home too. Exciting times lol.

Noticed today that my wipers are not cleaning sections of my windscreen , so a change must be required, all your suggestions and links are much appreciated.. :kiss:
