Chased 3 scumbags off my driveway lastnight. Attempting to get into the house, presumably for the keys
I’m sick of this now. It seems it’s just not possible to have nice things without this stress

Oh no Joe!  That’s terrible! You must be seething and really pissed.  And on tenterhooks all the time.  Police informed I assume.

Thanks Rebecca. Yeah police informed. Even had “CSI” here a while ago. The scum had attempted to remove glass from one of the windows on the side of the house. They were almost in when I scared them off. House is alarmed so it would have triggered had they come in. :(

How frustrating is that? Again.
The perils of having something decent parked outside means you can rarely relax in your own home it seems.
Work hard, watch some lowlife try and take away what you've strived for.

How appalling. Hopefully no one was hurt and there's no serious damage.

Lowlife is the polite term. I don’t think I’m permitted to use the less polite alternatives on the forum though!
Makes me really angry when I hear of attempted break-ins and thefts like this.

Hopefully you can put the experience behind you Joe and you can continue to enjoy your car.

Why can people not just buy their own stuff rather than take others hard earned possessions? Total scumbags.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am feeling very low and upset about it this evening and as for my wife....
I’m sure anyone who’s been victim of stuff like this will know the feelings I’m talking about.

I have a brand new R on order. It’s a mess. My wife wants me to cancel it. I’m finding it hard to disagree with her at this point tbh. Doing so means making life difficult for myself and the dealers. And I’ll still need to then figure out what to do with the current one.  It just sucks.

Know how you must feel. When mine went I was really unsure what to do. My wife didn’t want any ‘nice’ cars around at all. It does get better with time but I definitely wouldn’t have got my car without the ability to garage it overnight.

(well yesterday) Cleaned the GTD for the first time since early December in sub zero conditions

Seriously it was the dirtiest it's ever been and I was ashamed of it, and despite it being covered in thick frost when I started (-1.5°C) I soldiered on. Looks fab now (i'll throw some images up later), but when I was drying it, the water was freezing on the paintwork and glass, so I had to use my Metro Vac - Sidekick Blaster drier to warm the area slightly (the air comes out slightly warm), then dry each spot at a time. Took a whilst but got the whole car done, and really pleased with it, despite not being able to feel my fingers afterwards

Trouble is, I now it will only be a few days and it will look minging again !

Came out this morning at 6.30am after a really cold night and it was almost completely white. Sat in the car for a few minutes with the heated windscreen, rear screen, mirrors and seat heaters on. Plays havoc with MPG, but I'd rather that than having to get out and scrape the windows.
