I've not sat there and counted them, because I can't be arsed.

One of the first things I check in a new car is the armrest because of my left arm. It is more important to some than others.

Yes it all depends if you use it.    In 12 years of Golfs I've not used an armrest for arm resting once.

Coming off a bike at over 140mph did this to my arm along with other stuff to my shoulder and back.

Ouch! That looks nasty, at least you are still able to tell the story. You must be pretty good at pedalling to get to that speed

Presumably on a track, what were you doing?

Not on track, road racing and what was I doing, connecting with God and hoping I didn't hit too many things.

I've never used the arm rest on 2x mk5's, 2x mk6's and 4x mk7's.

@ Kalimon: How's the Evoque? A nice choice, not as nice as the Clubsport might have been but still a stylish motor. Don't pretend it was the wife's choice, we all know you wear the trousers round there...

@ Watts, have you considered getting some Tornado Red bubble wrap and covering your car in it?

It's not in the same league as a Clubsport and common as muck to boot
It was entirely her choice, which is a first as I always pick her cars for her, hence the reason they've all been VW or Audi
Just to add, I don't even own a pair of trousers anymore

Looks very painful.  Can see why the armrest is important to you.

Ouch! That looks... sore.

At the time it wasn't as bad as the broken pelvis but the pelvis healed and the arm is still a b!tch most of the time.

Not a bad idea! At least DL have got their finger out, my local garage has already been given the go ahead, just got to get it booked in.
