Finally got round to doing this. These hubs looked terrible!

My shed is only 4x4 and by that I don't mean it's good off road! I'm feeling rather inadequate in the outdoor wooden storage department

Finally got round to doing this. These hubs looked terrible!

What did you do them with ?

I used sandpaper to scrub them down first. That removed a lot of the surface rust. Then cleaned down the dirt/dust with white spirits.

Then 2 coats of hammerite smooth, hand-brushed on.

I wasn't particularly fussed with masking anything off, I just wiped off any excess with the white spirits. I thought it might look crap with paint brush marks but I actually surprised myself with how well they turned out!

Removed the dynamic indicator harness and did a bit more OBDeleven stuff including changing the mode button so that it doesn't turn orange when in sport or individual mode.

Washed it.
