It’s not unusual on forums for people to have their own thread for the stuff they do to their car.

To be fair Bec, they would normally have a thread in Members Motors, not a model specific section.

Yeah I know Simon but people don't seem to venture into that section on here that much, and sometimes it's nice to share stuff, mods and things others might be interested in, or that they might have suggestions about, and wrongly I thought the mk7 section would be ok.  On the R forum I do have my thread in the specific Mk7 Member's Rides section, but that seems to irk CraigW too. Didn't realise it annoyed people so much me posting in here.  Perhaps Jimble can move my 'Thoughts on the R' thread to a more appropriate section on here, I can't move posts from this section.

It irks me when it's the same subject repeated over and over again

It's probably to do with the before and after pictures each time you wash it that you like to share in three different thread on here. I see them and move on, as to be honest, we've seen them all before. I guess Craig was just the first to speak up.

I think you've made your point, several times ironically.  I have removed my duplicate posts, and asked for my R thread to be moved to a more appropriate section.

I was too slow typing then. The point has been made, so no need for me to have added anything. Jimble, please delete.

Fair enough but plenty of other detailing members on here post their detailing pics in this thread and the detailing section too, and that seems to be acceptable, noone, CraigW included, has taken issue with them, and I didn't post the detailing pics in 3 threads.  It's ok, I can stick to the R forum.

You're understandably proud of your car and are one of the few people who regularly post in the detailing section.
I really don't think there is any need for sniping remarks over a few duplicate post.
I for one am always happy to see your shiny R in all its glory.

I only ever look on this part of the Forum so I have no problem seeing a car well cleaned. As it has been documented before that I only bought a Reflex car as I cannot be bothered with buckets of water and specialist products just to make my car look presentable these days. In another life I too would have posting these kind of photos. I have bought a couple of new metallic black cars in the past - although over 20 years ago now when I was a user of the internet but this was just not possible...

I too often post my post-wash pictures on this thread and in the detailing section too. I don't want to antagonise or to take sides as all should be made welcome here and be encouraged to contribute. I feel it would be a great shame to lose Booth's posts and activity on this forum as they are mostly very informative coupled with her willingness to try new products and share her opinion on them. I've gone on to buy some of them myself. Can't those who aren't keen on certain posts just ignore the ones they don't like?
