At the time I thought they were going to pull me as I was the car in front for most of the way along the road which has a clear sight.

Picked up my new GTI on Tuesday from the dealers (totally untouched with the protective stickers still intact). Got around to giving it a good bit of TLC this weekend (7 hours in total to wash, clay, wax and seal), this also included taking the wheels off and sealing everything underneath!

Didn't manage to get any products bought before the weekend so had to make do with the ones left over from my Beetle and some Dodo wax and sealant from Motorsave. Still didn't turn out too bad I don't think!















Honestly this car is a different beast in comparison to my Beetle. Plus coming from air-ride it's a nice change to be back in something comfy again! Definitely won't be getting bored of this anytime soon!

Thanks Watts. I couldn't believe when the dealer rang me up and asked if I wanted that plate haha. Pitty I've got a private reg to go on...

Oh and just to mention - when I was cleaning the car we noticed somebody had already dented the passenger side door (in the 4 days of having it!). Good job we have a family PDR company and it was quickly sorted! Seems I was a bit optimistic parking in between people at Asda.

It really is a different beast to the Beetle!

It was just below the crease on the door (luckily) which meant it came out in about five minutes!
