I refitted my sound actuator, it's been disconnected for 3-4 months but felt I wanted a bit of drama in my drive, real or not......it's loud!!!!! And I kinda like it lol

when your wife has the same car no point in being economical with the truth as i will end up subsidising her mods

It's a mod worth subsidising.

Haha, I love this post!

Same here-ish.  I've had mine turned to it's quietest (which MIB2 lets you do) for 3 months.  But couple weeks ago, turned it back up as decided I needed a bit of fake noise.  Sod hearing the music and the dash vibrating, am loving the sound!!!

Ordered the B3 ST2 paddles and a solitary Sport Pilot Cup 2 for a track day in February

Got a link to where you ordered your paddles, please? Looking at the various options for extensions and nothing else looks worth fitting, once I'd seen ST2's offerings.

Ludicrously priced when shipping taken in but know a few who rate these

Prices are crazy, but the quality is really excellent. Worth it IMO, and lovely to use, perfectly proportioned. I got mine on a group buy on the other forum so paid $60 less which was a bonus.  Delivery from US was very quick, just a few days!

They are a doddle to fit, but here's a quick photo guide I did http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=276214.0

Thanks guys. Yes, loads of money! $40 odd for shipping! Going to wait for my car to land and see how I get on with the standard kit. Can't see me fitting anything else though, especially those huge red monstrosities one of the members on the other forum has fitted! Remind me of the weeping modded Golf from VW ads of a few years ago.

I think it is a good move to wait till you have the car.  If you decide to go for a set of S2T paddles, there's numerous choices of sytle (3) and finish, and you need to have the car before you can properly decide.

The pics on the website really do not do the paddles justice.  It's only when you see them in the flesh you see the weighty quality, good ergonomics and how tactile they are. Different designs will suit different driving styles.  The B1 seems to be prefered by those who like to use a 10-2 hand position as they are longer. Too long for my liking and not overly keen on the curviness of them.  The B2 I find too angular with its squared off ends design.  The B3 is perfect combination - shortest of the 3 designs with a more vertical position rather than sweeping inwards.  Best mod I've done, despite the price.

Bit of fun really but today I activated the WLAN on my 2013 GTD with Nav Pro (MIB I), with the standard (i.e. non premium) phone kit. No real use for it yet, just did it as I could. Thanks have to go to a chap from the Netherlands user name - Chillout on VWVortex, as it was he who probed and unlocked it.

Like I said no real use for it at the moment, but have streamed music from my Ipad to it via WLAN and it worked perfectly (by setting up a UPnp server on the Ipad first).Chillout is currently looking into seeing if its possible to get the unit to use on-line services like googlemaps etc. We shall see.

Fitted a flexible boot liner today.

Genuine VW Mk7 hatch liner bought from eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221500646373?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Fits perfectly, really snug with no gaps at all - should catch the dirt and mud nicely.  It's extremely lightweight so will be easy to fold in on itself for removal to shake out all the dirt. Don't know why I didn't get one for my last car!
