Holy c**p!

I'm still a getting thrifty one tank per week.  Though my average mpg has dropped from an initial 25mpg to 23.5mpg

Yeah I filled up Sunday morning before work, did 250miles between Sunday and Thursday, drove to Birmingham Friday and had to fill up 30miles into the trip, used up that tank coming home so had to fill up again for work Sunday.......easy way to burn £170

Had my car serviced at 37500 miles yesterday only to be told I'd need my DSG oil changed at 40k at a cost of £179. Cheeky buggers. Not impressed.

Why are you not impressed?  DSG oil and filter change is due every 40k miles.

I thought there was no DSG service on the mk7 as its a dry clutch and doesn't require oil as the mk6 DSG did

I think it's a wet clutch.
The seven speeds a dry clutch and that's only fitted in the less powerful engines.
6 speed DSG is a wet clutch and I believe the GTD is fitted with this.
I may well be wrong though

Also my understanding. Dry clutch on DSG7 (7 speed) Wet clutch on 6 speed.

For some reason I thought it was the other way round? 6-spd Dry Clutch, 7-spd Wet Clutch?

EDIT: Just done some Googling and I was wrong, Ms. Booth is correct.

plucked up the courage to use park assist for the first time. two cars with a space in between and no one about. it worked perfectly  i know it's sad but I sat there for a moment laughing at how weird it was not touching the steering wheel. I had the same feeling in my previous gti mk7 when the adaptive cruise started doing its stuff

The 7 speed dsg on the tiguan is a wet clutch and needs a service.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.
