I think it's a wet clutch.The seven speeds a dry clutch and that's only fitted in the less powerful engines.6 speed DSG is a wet clutch and I believe the GTD is fitted with this.I may well be wrong though

Dry clutch on DSG7 (7 speed) Wet clutch on 6 speed.
