I'd quite like a go in the Fiesta I saw today at the garage I took my car for an MOT to. It was an M Sport built 4WD rally car with a Millington N/A engine, producing around 350 horse power. It will be getting used in anger on Anglesey this weekend.

Me too, now that would be fun!

Well technically not today, rather last night I finnally collected my car. Very straight forward handover which only took about 40mins then straight home.
Done about 100 miles in it so far, awesome but of kit. First time using a DSG gearbox so taking a bit to get to know its characteristics etc but so far I like it.
One issue though, I have a slight metallic rattle sound from I think the engine bay that will need looked at, other than that I'm a very happy bunny

Current: MK7 Golf R (Limestone Grey) DSG, 19 Prets, Winter Pack, Rear Camera, High Beam Assist, Apple Connect, Gloss Black Mirrors
Gone: MK7 Golf R (Tornado Red) DSG, Winter Pack, Keyless, Gloss Black Mirrors
Gone: MK7 Golf GTD (Pure White)

It'll either be the wastegate rattle or the soundaktor rattling away. I might disconnect mine at the weekend to see that it's not the wastegate. Metal on metal cannot be good in the long term.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Very, very nice Cossieian   it'll take you a few weeks (approx 6) to get used to and adapt to the DSG box, but after that

Mine also had the metallic noise at low revs when just being put under load.  As MH says, either Soundaktor or wastegate.  There's a poll thread on VWROC, pages long about this - a well known characteristic of the R.  I'm not concerned about it.

Thanks guys (and lady), I'm not concerned about it at all if I'm honest, just noticed it was there really.
Few more miles under my belt this weekend and I'll be happy

I bet you can't wait to get more miles under your belt.

I must say that the Cadiz look best by far on Tornado Red.  TR really suits the Mk7 R in a way in never did on the Mk6 R.

I agree Tornado Red is imo the only colour that suits the Cadiz wheels. Get out there tomorrow and enjoy it some more. Its a great car

Looking good Cossieian. The red with Cadiz and black mirrors looks really good.
Just add spacers to finish the look.

Had my NSF alloy replaced this morning after noticing some corrosion round the tyre valve. All done under warranty
