Shows an Audi with keyless been stolen. The device used which also works on vw and bmw cars is readily available off ebay!
I would stick with the key if it was me.

So much for keyless entry.
Anyway, I rather like the quaint analogue method of starting a car with a key.

Just done the wheel hubs with silver Hammerite. That rust has annoyed me for ages now, it started on the rear hubs after a few months. It looks so much better now.

Will that not just burn off? I thought you would have to use very high temp paint for there.

Found another scratch on the quarter panel from the end of the door  Not sure if its been done on purpose(my tailgate got keyed the first weekend I got it) but it's going to need a professional job done on it.

My wife managed to put a similar scratch on a previous car with her engagement ring so I suspect it may have happened again.

Either way deep pearl black seems pretty soft.

Everything is soft when compared to a diamond.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

The 1500 out of 4500 stolen cars in the West Midlands police area last year would seem to suggest the stories are  far from thin on the ground... especially if this proportion is repeated across other force areas...
Is there an article about that Corgi? I did some googling the other day, but the articles I found covered theft by reprogramming key fobs (which we all obviously have) and keyless in one breath, so I presumed the majority of these 'electronic thefts' are using the older method of re-coding blank key fobs.

Edit:

Hi Snoopy, the video looks like it could be a re-programmining of normal key fobs, it didn't seem to be the keyless crime we saw with landrovers (which I don't believe they needed to use the OBD port/break into the car.) Was there more info to show this wasn't the case? The linked article doesn't work. I'm happy to be wrong, but I'm keen to know if we do have an issue - or it's no less safe than the current theft issues around electronic keys (as in non-keyless, electronic keys.)
