Kerbed an Austin alloy yesterday, now running on the space saver for a few days while it's being refurbed.

Cut the bottom out of a large plant pot of the right diameter and sprayed my rear wheel hubs with a few coats of high temp paint and some Gtenique magic to prevent them rusting.

Nice idea to stop the exposed part corroding. Did you mask off the threads and the wheel clamping face too or remove the paint before re-fitting the wheel?

Yep, used cotton wool to mask off the bolt threads and masking tape to cover the hub centre and small screw head. Painted everything else with several coats so should be good for at least 3-4 years.

Today i have cleaned my GTD with foam lance and snow foam (Chemicalguys Honeydew Snow) :smiley: I think result is great. I am still very satisfied with my car because it is powerful + easy to drive + economical=GREAT CAR!
