Yes I opted for the exchange service, £100 security deposit + the price of the retrim and £13 postage. Removing the steering wheel is 30 mins - 1 hour for the battery to discharge, and 5-10 mins removing the steering wheels and refitting. I’m happy to help you with this

Royal steering wheels are quite busy at the minute so i’m 2-3 weeks out, and I’ll update you when I get it.

Thanks Will. I might take you up on that in the New Year. Royal quoted me a 7-10 day turn around last year. I bought picks and things to do it but chickened out. Let me know your opinion on the wheel and their service when you get it. I am still keen to have a similar finish you’ve chosen for your wheel. BTW Arek said he could turn it round in two days.

Changed the throttle response from “ standard “ to “ responsive “ using obd11 today.

It does make a noticeable difference, I prefer the new setting.

Still a lag if you dump the throttle, so you still have to be  progressive.

Above 3k revs it’s great

Is this the same setting that some people claim reduces wheel hop? That always seemed nonsense to me.

I'd be interested in doing this if it actually makes a difference (to throttle response)

It does make a difference- though it’s a subtle one.

I hadn’t read anything about reducing wheel hop

Just the same again as my GTD but with red stitching or TCR style without the 12 o'clock stripe. With there being no alcantara in the car it doesn't fit my oem upgrades.

Slightly thicker, Perforated leather on sides, Smooth top/bottom, Red stitching

I had the same idea as you - although i just fitted a steering wheel wrap/cover

A larger turbo helps wheelhop  is38 powerband doesn't hit the tyres as hard as is20 with it's immediate low down torque.
Spins the wheels, but not wheel hopping like the is20

The wrap/cover is very tempting but I don't have the skills or patience for it.

@Ceefeesh I also got a quote from Interieur Customizing Gross (German company) a while ago because I thought they were the ultimate in OEM+ but at €340 + postage for a steering wheel refurb I decided I was too sane to go for it.

That was my first thought. Looks like the best - and safest space in the car park and the one I would have chosen too .
