One thing though that we really noticed was how many faffers there are these days on the roads, people doing 10 or even 20 mph less than the speed limit in perfect conditions, a couple of them doing around 30-40 joining a motorway..... There has been quite a bit of swearing in the Wattsmobile

That would do it! Some people really need their licences revoked.

That's more "View to a Kill" than "Licence Revoked"

Need to find something good to clean the interior of my windscreen, seeing the circles where the windscreen was put in, and streaks when it fogs a bit, used fast glass but its a bit useless, advice and product suggestions please

I used a good cloth and the fast glass but it didn’t take the marks off  :undecided:

I had the factory suction cup marks on the windscreen on a previous car and never could get rid of them. They were still there when I sold the car 4.5 years later.

You could try claying the outside of the screen to see if that’ll get rid of the suction cup marks as those marks will be on the outside (not the inside) from when the screen was lifted and positioned in place in the factory when the car was being built. Make sure you use plenty of lubricant with the clay. After you’ve clayed and dried the screen, clean it with a good glass cleaner and soft microfibre cloths.

Bar Keepers Friend, the powdered version you mix to a paste with water. Just try it on a small inconspicuous area first, but will get rid of most glass contamination.

Last night's drive back from Center Parcs.

Car fully loaded for a weekend trip with luggage for two adults and a toddler, including push chair, travel cot/mattress, child's hamax bike seat, two bikes on the roof, & food supplies too!

Fairly late on Sunday night so mostly traffic free roads mix of motorway and A roads, sticking to the speed limit pretty much all the way home (careful driving while carrying bikes on roof).

81 miles in total averaging 38 mpg!!

I'm amazed at how much stuff you can get into a golf. I'm even more amazed by that MPG figure. The journey out I barely managed about 32mpg ish, but that journey had a few sections of heavy traffic
