MK3 CD Autochanger - which one? which lead?
« on: 04 February 2004, 11:25 »
I want to add a CD autochanger to my existing Sony (VW supplied) head unit Sony XR-6559 and would prefer an 'Ebay' used one. I've scoured the net for compatibility, BUS cables etc but all conflicting....any advice as to which Sony changer and which BUS cable I need ?

any of them afaik
I bought an old changer a while back and that worked fine.
just mail them and ask if it has the right plugs.
I'm pretty sure Sony haven't changed in years.

I have now bought a Sony CDX-a15 10 disc changer off E-bay. It has come supplied with a 5m lead but this has the old 13pin type connector for the head unit. I think mine will have the BUS type connector (when I can remove the head unit..how do I get it out Sony XR-C6100R?)
Has anyone out there got an interface unit. I found one on the Sony web site (part No.XA-18MK2 Adaptor for connection between Sony Bus system head units and CDX-A type autochangers.)
