How shall I spend my first £250?
« on: 11 March 2008, 20:47 »
Well...  I get my bonus on Friday.  I've got some debts etc to pay off, but I'm setting aside £250 especially for the Golf.  Question is, what do you guys think the money would be best spent on?

I'm open to suggestions.  I'd rather do things in the right order and spent some time getting the car right :)

Lowering springs and induction kit would be a good start

Not sure to be honest.  My main concern is the car being more powerful, but also handling ok, so not sure what order to take things in.  I've got the armrest, just need to clean it, ordered the TT pedals as well.  They don't count toward the £250 I have now.

I could afford a dump valve and re-map...

Forge 007p and custom code remap it is then  :afro:

No but seriously you might want to consider springs and shocks / coilovers as already said because once remapped you will have the speed but no ability to corner properly with the mk4's nasty standard set up.

I seem to read a lot that the cars handling needs sorting out by way of new springs etc etc, I have 0% knowledge of such things, so would not know what to purchase?  I'd also have to pay labour to get all the bits fitted.
