Still a good price dude.

I cant tell you enough how good the fit is,
After a remap spending the £500 will justify spending that much on it.

Alternatively you could spend £100 on a good core then take the car to a good exhuast place I was going to take mine to http://www.pro-speedexhausts.com/ and Charlie (the boss) said he could do me a good custom intercooler pipe setup for £200 fitted.

Thats £300 and you could have it the way you want it as its custom.

You could always go the Wellycooler route

Not bad for around£200 and been getting very good results on SCN and ASN.
I'll obviously need different pipe work but if you look at Prawns build thread I think the details of pipe work are on there for you wrong way round inlet manifolds
03 210 Seat LCR. Badger5 V2.2TIP, Fordge 007p, Wellycooler, Quaife ATB LSD, Nuespeed ARB's, KW Clubsports, 330mm discs, 3" turbo back de cat and still on the standard map!

I already have the stage 1 remap, I am going stage 2 but I wanted it to be done this side of christmas and with awesome telling me 4 weeks ago it'll be here in 2-3 weeks and then them calling today and saying 6 weeks imagine how annoyed I am
