Thats obscenely clean, two questions though,

1) why have the number plates been removed in some of the pics?
2) why is the clock not on, on the MFA?

otherwise a mint motor.

I have just changed over my wife’s cherished number plate and the documents have come back with the original number plate, I still have the old number plate with the garage name on it and the original tax disc holder and garage name on the back window.

^^
Some may of been taken during the numberplate swapping charade :)

the battery looks connected in the engine bay shot
but thats far too much cash for a standard mk 8v imho considering it probably needs all the bushes that a used and abused mk2 needs through standing all its life

I agree with you here
Have brought so many low milage cars in the passed and have learnt that from a body point this maybe good but from the rest not.
Parts not worn but just becasue of age go wrong. plastic's pipes etc... cracking low milage cars have caused no end of problems here.

Well apart from the mk1 scirocco, well in fact that too has had a few, been using it as a everyday driver for the last 2 months, oil sensor went which meant it spat out 75% of the oil out the side of the engine, luckly all over a garage fore court!  Rear suspension went one side while down  the motor way that was a scarey ride home! and now either the water pump or alternator is making a noise now and then. This car has done just 40k 2k which have been done in the last few months, and see things still go wrong, i think some cars if the milage is really low it isn't a great thing.

Hmmm....looks in mint condition....and it going for loads!!!

But, a car that old, which has probably sat about alot could mean a few problems in the future, like corroded seals.... :undecided:
