140's don't have DPF's (unless you're unlucky and its a very late one)

Turbo back exhaust and a remap will do the job

Turbo life was short in general........

Touch wood I have mapped plenty of 140's, most with approx 100,000 miles and they are still going strong. There was one lad with a 45k A3 mind that lasted 3 weeks   he fitted a new turbo and has done over 20,000k now

Is it easy enough to get to the turbo? If not how much would it cost for a new turbo fitted?

Had a remapped 140 which I on the RR and showed 186bhp  No traction when setting off :grin:Plus tramping, lack of traction at junctions was fun  Clutch wasn't too happy about the grief I gave it

I've just had my turbo replaced at Ron Turnbulls at Middlesboro, car has 88,000 on the clock and was regularly dropping onto safety mode and showing "over boost " on the Vagcom.
They fitted a Garret unit which is supposed to be better and also did an oil change...£975 all in and done in a day, the cars going like a rocket now but it's still a lot of cash to fork out.
