My renewal with admiral was £800! And their modification cover covers you, but if you have to make a claim, they will say for example, only put the standard wheels back on or the value of the original wheels, Adrian will give me back the value or the same as what's on there now, plus I have a lot more mods than just 3 which are all covered like for like, Admiral do not offer such a service, plus I'm paying £150 less on the same car :)

wouldnt 3 mods on a gti be better than a smoking gl?

shocks/springs, exhaust, wheels. sorted.

means you can get rid of the quad lights too

Not when I'll still have to pay £1000+ for a GTi and 3 mods, plus I much prefer the way my car looks as opposed to just 3 mods on a GTi, this includes:

- Wheels
- Coilovers
- Twin backbox
- Aero front wipers
- Aero rear wiper
- Hella Quin headlights
- Extra smoked rear lights
- Smoked side repeaters
- Smoked front indicators and blanking plates
- Black badge front and rear
- All interior audio covered

I feel it's great value and no doubt if they ended up making a payout then the amount for my mods alone would pay for a GTi lol

Screw being young, I'd rather be old and grumpy with cheap car insurance than young and happy with ridiculous car insurance.  :smug:

Might seem daft but have you asked how much the policy went up if you fitted a GTI engine.

This must be some sort of sick joke, they want £2K for the year if I change to a MK3 GTi 8v, but I just did what Wayne said and requested a quote for an engine change (2.0 8v). Guess how much they want?

Only £127!!!! WTF??!!! LOL!

I mentioned to them I'd upgrade the brakes and exhaust system along with the engine and all they want is £127!???! LMFAO! Looks like I might be in a GTi 8v sooner than I thought  :lipsrsealed:
