The long time saving issue is important Jamie. It's doing it's noise reduction. Essentially it shoots the shot for say 5 secs as you set it and then it shoots the back of the shutter (Black) for the same amount of time. It then uses the two shots to reduce noise.

As for the car park stuff coloured lights are a faf. You know the score with the white balance (shoot something white and use that as a basis for setting it up custome style). Other than that there's not much you can do to combat it. Off camera flash is ace look up the strobist blog as that has loads of useful info.

Sorry Horney, I meant it actually freezes permanently. As in, if I left my camera for 20 minutes it'd still just be a black screen with the red read/write light on.

Do you have any more info about setting custom WB? I've heard you mention it a couple of times but not sure what I'm supposed to do! I generally just shoot in Auto on the camera then sort it out in Lightroom.

Went with my friend today for a lesson with her and her horse to take some piccys, heres a good one of them. It is slightly out of focus but the horses head is in focus, do you guys think it looks OK? Plus Ive done it in greyscale because the horse is grey anyway and it generally looks better!

She stayed still which was good :D I need to experiment with various things do see what works and what doesn't, the other 3 pics aren't as crisp as they could be. But whatever I did with the car (can't remember lol) worked :)

Thank you Raven.
