if you can afford them Manfrotto's are excellent tripods. Here's a deal but shop around to get best price. Note that tripods of this quality always come as the tripod only and then you get a suitable head for your needs/preference.

..Or buy a Red Snapper tripod! Just as good quality as the Manfrottos, better quality than Jessops and other brands and WAY cheaper than a same-spec manfrotto/velbon.

If you google for the red snapper tripod, there's tons of great reviews on it. I bought one a few weeks ago and it's been absolutely fantastic. For about £70 delivered it came with a posh leather carrying bag and a 3 way head

But, if you have the money for a posh Manfrotto tripod, go for it! *poor student*
