Yeah man, I've got the headlining downstairs from the 16v I broke back in April. Not sure how to paint it though, want to keep the softness of the fabric but paint it, I was thinking fabric paint. Want to do the pillars all black too, completely black interior.

You don't have to use the glue like I did. You could use the Fabric Dye you mentioned or you could just use the normal spray can. The spray can would take about 10 coats and you would need to leave it outside overnight to erase the smell. I was lucky enough to have it pissing down inbetween coats so mine went in the shed overnight anyway

I looked at the Fabric Dye when I put the Scooby seats in my old motor and looked at the spray dye (2nd item on your list) and thought this would be good and easier to apply. From the looks of it 2 bottles would suffice but it's cheap enough to take 3 to be on the safe side.

There's defo no fading Mate....I only did mine as the headlining had nasty water marks where the roof had been pissing in and ignored by the previous owner. Found out it was the front mounted aerial that was doing nothing anyway. Cured that by removing it and having the roof covered which also covered the slight rust over the windscreen which I treated first. Handy thing that Vinyl roof Mate but the headlining needed doing and I had the spray cans in the shed so on it went.

Yeah. I might try just spray paint, avoiding the glue stage, and see how it goes.
