The guys on the parts desk at the dealership down here are pretty good actually. Always give me discount, and if I phone for a part enquiry and they're not available, they phone back within half an hour without fail.

Top job, does it feel any better at the back now its up a bit?
How did you get hold of the etka printouts?? Did you ask for specific pages? and how much did they charge for em? May be worth getting a few I think................

Just go into dealer ship and ask I guess...that's what I did for the gear linkage

but 30 pages might not be a freebie!

Yeah Murray VW are good and I know a few guys down there now I've been going there for so long and I used to be there every week :D Just asked for them and they gave it to me, sorted :)

Feels much better now. Whether it was drop links or raising back or a mixture of both. Cant wait to sort the ball joint situation out!

Good work!

That ETKA stuff looks interesting!

Cheers Len :)

Good work there traveller!

What a life you have, if your not in America or enjoying Uni life, your fixing that every other day!

Sure once you get the ball joint and caliper sorted it will feel awesome again!

(Also i have given in and i am running JOM coilovers on the back of my car now, sell out or what!?)

Its good mate haha

Hopefully! It feels much nicer as it is now, let alone after I address the balljoint's (well one side needs doing, but I'll replace both and fit the extenders).

Hahahaha, its cool. When I'm closer to sorting out everything I want to do, I'll be looking at new coilovers. But probs won't be til I can earn some money from working. If I can work full time over the summer, maybe I could save enough to build a K04 hybrid and get a set of KW coilies  We'll see!

So my "list" is like this:

- New ball joints and extenders
- Track rod flip bush
- Take exhaust off and clean and refit.
- Slightly modify joining sleeve for zaust and downpipe
- Renew PAS line
- Renew rear O/S caliper
- Clean out oil breather tank and lines.

That's the priority stuff, I want to fit my recaro's too. Need to speak to a friend about welding in some box section to bolt the seat subframe's. Also, spray the inside matt black and maybe re-route a few things to tidy up the interior. Might re-assess the boost gauge position and see where to fit my oil gauge too.

Done a lil more on the splits:

before

after

after

Not come up great, but they were terrible condition before. A little more work and they should be ready for paint.

Got the tyre off the last rim:

They look sh!te now, but they got potential and I have a couple ideas for them.

The set has two wider than the other, this is not one of the wide ones and I think its a 7J, supposed to be measured as so??

Picked oil from VW today too, planning on getting a few bits done tomorrow :)

Hopefully soon mate, just taking my time doing them at home. Think they are 7J and 8J and with the adaptors they should sit nice in the arches.

Not keeping the polished dish and looking at getting some socket head bolts.
