Worst case scenario please guys...

Hi. Seen a mk2 that I'm very tempted with, however, it needs some welding to the rear sills and arches. What would the welding and arches repaired/replaced including painting cost? Worst case scenario? Thanks.

You have just described a car that I would give a wide birth to!
£300/400 each side, should get you a reasonable job, painting only up to the first swage line..

The biggest problem is you will find it is a lot worse once you start cutting it away, I would not consider it to be honest, you could be looking at £800 to £1000 to sort.

the answer is simple, if you can do it yourself or get it done cheaply, then why the hell not.
if you would be paying full price to get it done at a garage then dont even think about it.
