Alarm siren

The siren for my alarm has stoped working (code 01134) no sound when alarm goes of just flashers going hope to replace the siren can anyone tell me if it has to be coded

No coding required. It is riveted not bolted so needs to be drilled out. Could be the internal battery?
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

Thanks for reply I didn’t know I had a problem with it till I did a scan with obdeleven I got great wee tool do you know the best place to buy one it’s £185 from Volkswagen dealers (I’d prefer to fit a new one)

Recently had the same issue, ended up buying a replacement from my local breakers yard, cost £35 for the siren and fitted it myself.

Drill it out and don't replace it. Everything will work fine. Car will still lock and alarm still works, it just doesn't make any sound. Alarms are useless anyway. Have you ever run out to see what's going on when a car alarm goes off?
