Rev Counter & MFA Display
« on: 03 April 2003, 16:04 »
I'm after some help,

The REV counter and MFA display aren't working on my 16v, I've taken the dash to bits to find out why, only to find a printed circuit board.  Anyone have past experience with this or know how to fix it.

Thanks in advance

Gogs  ;)

;)

My clocks seem to do this all the time. They will work fine for days then stop for 1or2 hrs then start working again.

My gearbox has just gone - so could have had something to do with that. I believe the sensor is on the gear box - but not 100% sure on that one

just check the plugs on the engine and make sure everything looks plugged in, etc - dont think its anything to do with behind the clocks

;D

The MFA electronics don't like big changes in current. You are supposed to take out one of the fuses before you jump start a mk2 so that it doesn't kill the MFA...

There used to be a company that repaired them but I think they went out of business.

Probably easier just to swap the complete unit with another from a breakers.
