Question about service schedule on 2020MY 7.5 GTI PP
« on: 02 February 2024, 17:19 »
Hi all,

I bought my GTI back in September 2023 time, it is due its fourth service in March but has only done 4k since last years service.

Looking at the digital service records it had one oil change service and then two inspection services in a row, plus brake fluid change last year, but I thought they were supposed to alternate.

Having two inspection services in row doesn’t really bother me, better to be thorough, but should I have just a standard oil change service or an inspection service this time round as working on the alternate servicing basis it should be due an inspection service in year four.

What’s peoples opinions?

Just for reference, I had the VAQ and DSG service late last year at 14k as I don’t trust this 80k interval for the DSG (I’d rather stick to 3-4 years) and the VAQ hadn’t been done… apparently this is an optional service every three years, is that right?

Anyway, opinions welcome.

I change my oil and filter every 6 months and I only do about 4.5k pa, very OTT but I plan to keep it for some time.
