hey guys just new on here but really into my cleaning and well niro's answer is defo the best option.i do it with all my cars and done my mk3 8 months ago and after a wash i dont need bumper shine etc.its real easy because it changes infront of you .you no when to move it along its simples

Use wd 40 on a clean jay cloat cheap and quick or GT85 works just aswel!! :wink:

i used hycote satin black spray cans and it worked great, looks like new.

really important to go over the area with some kind of primer or selyelose thinners, just to get any wax or oily greasy residue off it first. but i'm sure you prob would anyway 

here's a couple of mine before and after,

today i have mainly been getting Minging and Stinking  :huh:

But the Boiled Linseed Oil looks good so far , albeit in the garage, and 2 hours old  :grin:
