Anyone have opinions on the Ecotek device advertised in the Sunday Times recently and at
www.ecotekplc.com
Is it just a gimmick or at about ?40, a good little jolly up??

the general oppinion I have got off of people is that it does improve perfromance slightly and it does have an effect on petrol consumption, worth a go for 40 sheets

I've alwasy been a bit dubious about this gizmo.
It's supposed to reduce emissions AND improve fuel economy. Doesn't the mk3 have a Lambda sensor which, if it detects less particles coming through the exhaust, turns up the fuelling going into the engine? I'm no expert though...
Also, it also apparently makes a funny gurgly sound which isn't that attractive.

A guy in the Kitcar.com mag tested one and found out 'in the car tested and in the tested situations the device made no difference' quote unquote. But as has been seen before different cars and different drivers and different results .....
So going on UKflex give it a try ....
