This weekend saw a long overdue clean... Due to other commitments and it being to sunny to wash a black car, or is it just me that struggles with washing a black car in direct sun light?

Anyway, washed, a layer of black hole, sealant and some wax has got it looking great again. It is now garaged till next Friday when we head down to Kent to visit family. Good job it is clean as we will be based around the Canterbury area, god forbid I would cross paths with Booth with a dirty car

I'm always glad when it's overcast on a car cleaning day, but Sod's law, the sun usually comes out the minute I turn the jet washer on

Have no fear Peter, mine is filthy at the moment  :embarrassed:  Had to forgo the cleaning this weekend as daughter's birthday and family visiting took precedence.  Gonna have to wash it now just in case we encounter each other, lol

Clipped a kerb coming off a roundabout at about 25mph. Wheel badly scuffed and now I hear a knocking noise at low speeds, bearings?

Bearings tend to rumble, not knock. It could be a ball joint. Is it front or rear?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Rear mate, the yellow light was hanging off the island in the middle of the road so I went to the left to dodge it, a little too left :( I can hear knocking noises coming from the rear of the car now, sounds worse on uneven roads, car is still under warranty, going to get the alloy refurbed and swop it to the front and give VW a call about it, chance my arm lol

Mk7 Golf R alloys get fitted tomorrow. Many thanks to t.a. alloys. there's a story attached to the VW centre caps though!
