Ive considered buying this car for some time and wondered how fast they were...anyone know any stats?

Best thing to do is call up VW and get the car specs. Though it is a diesel so it's never going to be that quick.

The 150bhp version does 8.6 sec 0-60, 134mph top speed and has 236 lbs torque at 1900 rpm.

Can easily be tweaked towards 200bhp  :)

Potential to embarrass quite a few 'performance' cars...

Hi ,
I just bought my golf tdi ( only 100 bhp ) yesterday 14/2/03 . and ive got to say it is very delightfull to drive , loads of low down torque to play with from 1500 rpm , 51 mpg , its not lightning quick ,, but with all these POXY speed cameras about what choice do you have ?
Again , i am over the moon with mine  !!!!!!!!!    :)
