Also would like to see what the A45 AMG is like.

FUGLY

^+1. I was speaking to someone through work last year who works for Daimler financial services and they described the (then) soon to be launched new A class as being like the Scirocco. I don't see i; the Scirocco is a good looking car but the A Class; horrible! However good the AMG version might be, I couldn't spend my hard earned on something as ugly as that!
2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

But still better looking than the 1 Series.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I had wondered if i was the only one here who thought the BMW was ugly.
I do like the idea of the 135 I just could not stand seeing it everyday, were as the Mk6 for all its faults I like its looks it makes me smile when I see it.
Mk6 GTI  &  Mk1 GTI

I think you are right

I have an M135i on order but having spent the last 4 weeks doing some serious miles to Wales and back and seeing more and more new 1 series I now have a sick feeling in my gut.

The 1 series is plain ugly. Owning one would be like sitting in the pub with your mates and your new girlfriend. They all know she's a minger, the pub knows she's a minger but all you can focus on is her great rack.

Worse than that spending so much time with my GTi has made me realise what a fantastic car it is. Its going back to the leasing company in 10 weeks time and it feels as if i am going to lose an arm. I don't want to let it go, but don't want to order another one on a 3 year lease with the Mk7 round the corner.

Decisions, decisions.

I may cancel order and make the leasing company an offer.

For the next 48 hours I will be deliberating :undecided:

Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :

Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6  - Now sold and replaced with :

Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long

Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement
