i think the days of killing your turbo are long gone, leave that to the old skool rs turbo/cossie/renault5 turbo brigade, these new 20v turbo engines are far superior units as a whole, and even if your turbo does go bang (and i think youd have to neglect servicing, and crank the boost right up to do so) or gets a bit smokey (seals) its not gonna be that dear to get a re-con unit, how many cars are these used in throughout the vw/audi/seat/skoda range? quite alot! i dont think cost is a major issue if ya fit a new one yourself,
