Those of you less brassic/stingy and more caring/geeky than me or those who just have an all encompassing PVC fetish, you’ll have likely invested (or will be investing when your semiconductors arrive) in some clingfilm for your car’s nose.

Here’s a word to the wise from a 16 month old 10k mile car that has just a single stone chip on it’s unprotected nose and a small handful on the windscreen (I’m religious about keeping a distance from cars in front), to spend an extra few quid and get the leading edge of the rear bumper wrapped too as stones flick up off the rear wheels damaging the paint badly:

I don’t have PPF but this the reason why I added the OEM mud guards to my GTI. The 19” wheels sit quite proud and I really didn’t want the gravel rash.
