Fresh rubber on the ED45 - early Christmas present.

Let us know what you think of those - they are clearly a good tyre, but I've not seen anyone with them on a Mk8 yet.

Excellent news for you, is that fully confirmed…. Actually being built?

Mine is also week 1, but still not “locked in” (whatever that means) according to the dealer.

Confirmed build week 1 for me too, time will tell how accurate this is though.

Seemed to be a bit of activity on this forum with cars coming through so I made my first contact with the dealer this morning.

I’ve checked mine too, now confirmed as build week 1 also. Looks to be a busy week at Wolfsburg that week.

Yep fully confirmed but with the additional slip from the factory which I expected. Looks like week 1 is the week to have!

Think it’ll be a longer wait than usual even when it’s built. My mum and dad’s T-Roc was built around 7 weeks ago and has only just been put on the boat yesterday.

Yes I expect so too. My dealer expects the car to be in the uk sometime feb and ready for collection in March…… if all goes to plan 

I’m not sure what a normal delivery is, my last “brand new” from factory car was an R56 Mini in 2006, that was delayed waiting for the new shape to be released.

There were quite a few here with build dates of week 1 or 2 of 2022. I’m just wondering if you’ve had any update this week?

I have, gone in to production, will get another update in a couple of weeks time when it’s hopefully leaving the factory.

After just over 7 weeks and 1200 miles I have sold my ED45. Decided in the end to keep the ED40. Even though the MK8 is great it never won me over and I preferred the ED40.

Reasons, I prefer a manual and never got on with the DSG, prefer the steering feel of the MK7 and think it’s a better looking car. Prefer the Dynaudio too, it just sounds fuller and more premium to my ears at least.

I will miss those IQ lights though. The ED45 is a fantastic car with devastating cross country speed, it just never captured my heart and it was a touch too digital for me.
