It has got a speed limiter. It's set at 166MPH though.

You just need to fight your way past the other one first...

Who knows what a MY22 car has/hasn't got on it... that's the fun you'll be having.

Probably the biggest one will be the addition of the electronic speed limiter.... good luck.

As far as speed limiters are concerned this is what interests me:

The systems will be required on all new models given ‘type’ approval from May 2022, with all models on the market before that date required to adopt the tech by May 2024.

So does this mean the Golf will only need it from 2024 as it won’t be a new model?

I suspect as it's a minor software change to make it happen, it will happen sooner rather than later. The mk8 has everything it needs to enforce it already, all bar a menu option... I believe when it comes like lane assist, it's on by default at start but you can turn it off...for now.

That's good. Mine is still stage 1. Did you do anything to get it to update. Ie remove and re add. Did you get a text telling you?

I removed and added back and now on stage 2 also.
