Wazzzer's 1.8T... Lots of updates
« on: 04 May 2010, 21:36 »
I'd just like to hear some comments with ref to the mods and upgrades I'm doing to the Golf as you're not meant to leave comments on the project section so if you don't mind wasting 10 mins of your life have a read through here and let me know what you all think. I'll do an update in here as well as the project section every time I do an update

Cheers

Looks f*cking great.

Need a ride in it, out in the Wild Wild West Wight at some point.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Very nice car Wazzzer!

Loving the HID liights  I bet she handles real sweet, with the uprated mounts and ARB

Did you notice much of a difference handling wise when you fitted the spacers?

Not really found any benefit from the spacers but with everything together it has made a massive difference to the handling

Cheers for the comments so far, DH will sort something out soon

ok don't bother commenting then...

anyways for anyone that is interested, a few pics of the wheel refurb so far...

sanded them down with 180 grit on a palm sander

then masked up and a coat of etch prime

then a quick rub down with 500 and a coat of high build

got the other wheel to the etch prime stage, will be rubbing the high build down on Friday and giving it a final prime and maybe a first coat of colour

cheers mate, I want them on for Inters so not got long

the actual sanding didn't take much time at all, it was the masking up that really bored me...

I'm not sure how the new colour will look against the dark grey inserts already on there so will have to see once they are done. Might have to paint the insides black yet
